Most people didn’t understand why we were sponsoring this event. How can you question anything having to do with charity?

Adoree and I agreed that our decision: “just feels right”. We were not sure why and could not quantify our decision to sponsor Aviator Nation’s Challenge for Charity Run. . . but we never, once, doubted our choice.

I found myself rocking out to Billboard’s top hits of the 80s in the car on the way to Malibu. As we drove to the race. . . At five in the morning. . .Yes, It was still dark. Very dark. . .

We were all geared up for the event: trunk full of marketing and mercandising materials, hula hoops, jump ropes, bean bags, healthy schoolbook cookies, colorful fruits, and a whole lot of energy. You know, the usual stuffs. :)

Adoree was a lil’ jumping bean all morning. A chiling mixture of cold and excitement. We spent our time meeting new people, touching base with old friends, and playing with the kids – From the lovely Butter Buster’s nutritionist to our fellow Pepperdine students who had read our business plan to the fabulously well-mannered children from the Children’s Lifesaving Foundation who could not get enough of the hula hoops!!!

We have so much to look forward to! We cross our fingers and continue to work hard to make this fabulous vision come true. Thank you Aviator Nation, The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation, The Special Olympics, and Rajan for making this all possible!
